Ticket sell for Australia/India quarter final at Ahmedabad begins

Ticket selling for 24th March cricket world cup quarter final match between India and Australia started today at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Patel international cricket stadium, Motera. As India is going to play this match, no cricket lover would like to miss it. However getting ticket would not be an easy task. On first day, the ticket window closed before time.

While total capacity of the stadium is 48,000, the International Cricket Council has bought 22000 tickets of this match in advance(and they have paid for it to Gujarat Cricket Association). Thus there are about 19,000 tickets available for common cricket lovers.

Gujarat Cricket Association(GCA) is selling cheaper priced tickets on first couple of day, while costlier tickets will be sold then after.

Shri Parimal Nathwani, Vice President GCA told media persons that GCA had taken a decision to sell two tickets per person to prevent cornering.
