Ahmedabad airport was gripped by fear of time-bomb late in the evening on Monday. Panic situation ended only after bomb disposal squad’s detection found the object in question was not bomb.
One parcel with twinkling green lights and ‘tick tick’ sound was detected by cargo staff at cargo complex of the airport. It was found that it had arrived here from Delhi through Indigo airlines .
Soon the area was vacated and police and bomb disposal squad were called. After thorough checking, bomb disposal squad found that it was actually not a time bomb, but automatic gas detection device. As it was put on automatic mode, it started functioning and started showing lights with sound.
