Ahmedabad’s Jagannath Mandir Mahant Rameshwardasji is no more

Seventh Gadipati of Ahmedabad’s Jagannath Mandir Shri Rameshwardasji is no more. He passed away today morning in city’s Karnavati hospital at the age of 88. His funeral procession will proceed from Jagannath Mandir at 4.00 pm and will be attended by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Ahmedabad Mayor Asit Vora and other dignitaries.

Jagannath Mandir’s Mahant Parampara

-Mahant Hanumandasji established a Hanuman temple.(It’s still there in Jagdish Mandir campus)
-Mahant Sarangdasji established Jagannathji,Balabhadra and Subhadra’s idols in the temple.
-Mahant Balmukunddasji
-Mahant Narsimhdasji started Rath Yatra in Ahmedabad.
-Mahant Sevadasji
-Mahant Ramharshdasji initiated work of restructuring of the temple.
-Mahant Rameshvardasji passed away today morning
