After inaugurating new Dadhichi river bridge and Bhagini Nivedita under bridge in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in his speech said Gujarat has become a bench mark of development.
Shri Modi said, “if some state goes ahead of Gujarat even in minor criteria, the Chief Minister there announces that his state is ahead of Gujarat in that criteria, this only shows that Gujarat has become a benchmark in the country in the area of development. This is not a small achievement.”
Speaking about recent agitation of Shri Anna Hazare, Shri Modi said, “One Anna Hazare shook the basis of Delhi sultanate. People are awakened now. Hazare had agitated only against corruption without naming any party, but it was the Congress led central government that was shaken because they thought that movement against corruption must be a movement against Congress government as the government is involved in corruption and scams.”
Modi said last year Gujarat golden jubilee year event(Swarnim Gujarat) was organized in Ahmedabad’s Sardar Patel stadium, but due to overwhelming response of the people, even the stadium couldn’t accommodate all, and therefore the event was repeated next day, but this year we have decided in advance that the event will go on for two days, so that all people can be accommodated.
Modi said development is one thing which can heal all the problems, and which can make all the people happy. “There should be nothing but development in our priority,” he added.
Modi further said the central government should take challenge to compete with Gujarat in the area of development, adding that “They at the centre are ahead of us in the area of falsehood, we can’t defeat them in that area.”
Modi claimed that in Gujarat new industries have come up, but at the same time the area under cultivation has also been increased, thus the growth is balanced and therefore those who spread falsehood about Gujarat should stop cheating the people.
Modi claimed enthusiastically and loudly that like Chandigadh and Gandhinagar are man-made cities, Dholera in Gujarat will come up as the biggest man-made city of the world in future.
