Modi backs new Jantri, says it will curb black money(Video)
Ahmedabad, 17 April, 2011
Speaking at Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industries function in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today backed his government’s new Jantri rates and added that new Jantri rates would curb black money. Modi said if there’s one government that dares black money, the people should be proud of having such government rather than opposing the decision.
Modi said his government slashed 37-year old premium rates on Navi Sharat/Juni Sharat conversion of land to half for benefits of farmers.
Modi attacked Congress party without naming it for its stand against new Jantri rates. Modi termed this stand as ‘pro-black money’ and expressed wonder that how come a political party can agitate against black money.
