Rs.2.78 cr pilgrim facilities dedicated at Jagat Mandir Dwarka

Newly built pilgrim-facilities close to Lord Krishna’s Jagat Mandir in Dwarka were dedicated to the people by Mr. Jaynarayan Vyas, the Gujarat state’s minister for Health, Social Welfare, Tourism and Pilgrimmage development today morning. Shr. Parimal Nathwani, Group President of RIL, member of Rajya Sabha and Vice Chairman of Dwarkadheesh Devasthan Samiti was the Chief Guest.
Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board and Reliance Industries(RIL) have jointly constructed 10,000 sq ft facilities worth Rs. 2.78 crore which mainly include Rest room, luggage room, shoes house, drinking water, strong room for ornaments, Devasthan samiti’s administrative office, Shardapeeth library, pilgrims facility center, wash-rooms, displays, information kiosk, reception and visitors lounge, prasad ghar, CCTV camera surveillance.
Reliance Industries Limited(RIL), in tune with Gujarat government’s Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board, has created series of facilities in Dwarka as a part of discharging its social obligations. The construction of newly built facilities for pilgrims in the temple premises was completed within a short span of one and a half year. It contains a pilgrims facility center, drinking water facility, wash-rooms, displays, information kiosk, reception and visitors lounge, office of the Dwarkadheesh Devasthan Samiti, a CCTV control room, strong room, Shardapeeth library and prasad ghar etc. The cost of these facilities is approximately Rs. 2.78 crore.
RIL has played a major role in development of Dwarka under the stewardship of the CMD Shri Mukeshbhai Ambani and with active participation of Mr. Parimalbhai Nathwani. RIL is in close co-ordination with the state government, Dwarkadheesh Devasthan Samiti and district administration carry out the plan developed by the Pavitra Yatra Dham Vikas Board, Dwarkadhish Devasthan Samiti under technical expertise of the Center for Enviornment Plannig and Technology(CEPT).
A long ‘Ghaat’ on the bank of river Gomti is completely renovated; granite is fixed all over 16 ‘Ghaats’ and steps. It has become safer to take holy bath here. RIL has made regular arrangement of clearing the ‘Ghaats’ and removal of algae.
A new ring road from the outskirt of Dwarka to Jagat Mandir was constructed in the year 2005. It bypasses the town and therefore it helps in avoiding traffic congestion. The road is named after Shri Dhirubhai Hirachand Ambani.
Kokila Dhiraj Dham is another destination in Dwarka which offers peaceful and serene stay with A/C and non A/C rooms. ‘Satsang hall’ is also available.
RIL also renovated Mahaprabhuji’s bethak on the bank of river Gomti and supported Shardapeeth activities. It constructed several facilities in villages known for Vaishnavite pilgrimage around Dwarka.
The day of Janmashtami is main celebration at Jagat Mandir. On this occasion Shri Parmial Nathwani decorates the Mandir.
