Gujarat’s Porbandar jail will be the first jail in India to have a Pyramid meditation hall, Jail in charge Superintendent Prashant Gohil said here.

Ground breaking ceremony of proposed meditation hall was performed on the occasion of Buddha Purnima by Ranavav Nimani Dham Yogashram’s Swami Parmatmanandaji, Nathabhai Thanki, Nathabhai Odedara among others.

Gohil said, “proposed 18 ft high and 20×20 ft hall will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.5 lakh in an area of 400 square ft area.”

He further said, “the hall will come up in about six months period from now. Pyramid Spiritual Society Movement(PSSM) will contribute all cost to this project. PSSM is involved in design and construction of many such Pyramid halls at many other places.”

According to PSSM belief meditation done inside a pyramid, or underneath a pyramid, is called as Pyramid Meditation.

PSSM believes that many people experience feelings ranging from calmness to extreme euphoria during their meditation sessions inside the pyramids. Most people who have experimented with Pyramid Meditation, describe themselves as experiencing a total relaxation of their body, followed by the shutting out of unnecessary external stimuli and irrelevant thoughts and finally achieving an altered state of consciousness which allows them to concentrate on deeper inner levels. Pyramids provide most effective high-energy environments for beginners of meditation. Pyramids help to reduce the level of stress and tension in the physical body.
