Congress MP detained after doing stunt on ‘cool’ Modi’s stage

Prabha Taviad, Congress member of parliament from Dahod in Gujarat was today taken out of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s stage by force today in Godhra. About five women, including two police women had to apply force to bring Prabha Taviad back to the floor from the stage. Taviad with her purse in one hand was continuously pushing the women to go back to the stage.

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi was in Godhra today to address Krushi Mahotsav rally of central zone of the state here. As per the protocol central Gujart’s MLAs and MPs were also invited to the function. However just before the event, local Congress MLA C.K.Raolji was detained by police along with his 40 supporters when they were trying to burn Narendra Modi in effigy some distance away from venue.

Angry to learn that her party’s MLA and workers are detained by Police, Dahod MP Prabha Taviad who was attending the function stood up and rushed to Modi and started asking Modi why her party workers were detained and when they would be released? Taviad came closer to Modi’s chair and started talking angrily with aggressive body language. Modi was sitting on the chair very calmly and was drinking a glass of water. He didn’t look at Taviad who was standing on his left hand at few distance away. Seeing the aggressiveness of Godhra MP, Modi’s one bodyguard took position close to Modi on his right hand while minister Mangubhai Patel stood up and took his position on Modi’s left hand in guarding position.

Soon, a group of volunteering women and lady cops arrived and took Taviad down the stage by force.

Taviad was detained and later released. Speaking with media persons she said she was asking Modi about why her party workers and local MLA were detained, and when they would be released.

Some locals said this was a stunt of lady MP who has not done much for this poor tribal area. Locals also said that this MP has done such stunt second time. “She never miss an opportunity to do something when Modi’s some programme is scheduled in this tribal region. Last time when Modi was here for Garib Kalyan Mela, Taviad was literally running in the streets when Police tried to detain her to prevent protest programme against Modi’s visit which was not permitted.”

Locals also observed and appreciated coolness of Narendra Modi at the time when Congress MP was speaking to him in completely unacceptable manner.
