NSUI goons storm GTU office in Ahmedabad,VC in hospital(Video)

In a shameful incident in the history of Gujarat’ higher education, a group of handful goons of Congress party’s student wing National Student Union of India(NSUI) today stormed Gujarat Technological University(GTU) Vice Chancellor office, threw the office material lying on the table over the VC, and caused him injury. Injured Vice Chancellor Shri Akshay Aggrawal hit by the NSUI goons fell down while trying to step out of the office. He could stand up only with the support of his staff some time after the group of NSUI youths left the office. Shri Aggrawal was later taken to the hospital for treatment on his lips.

The NSUI group was demanding earliest release of pending marksheets of Diploma engineering students. Police has registered case against NSUI youths. However the Vice Chancellor said original lot of marksheet had errors and therefore reprint was ordered. He said the marksheets in question are not needed on urgent basis as the students are still in college. They are going to get the marksheets before they pass the college.

Speaking with media the Vice Chancellor said, “I was sitting in my office and heard some voices. The gate was closed but the aggressive group broke it and entered.”

“When I asked why did you break the door, they replied they would act in this way only,” Aggrawal further said.

“Then they started throwing the things, computer, printer and other objects without making representation for any issue,” He added.

It should be mentioned that this is not the first incident when NSUI goons have acted in this way in university area. This happens almost every fortnight in the season of admission or exam. The press people are informed in advance about such agitations for coverage, and almost everytime they accompany the goons for having exciting footage and photo shots.

The goons who present themselves as student leaders become more powerful after every single press coverage and video footage in media. Thanks to light and impotent attitude of city police, the NSUI goons have now become brave enough to start causing injury to the Vice Chancellor who heads Gujarat’s majority technological educational institutes.
