Toll hike on Ahmedabad-Vadodra Expressway from July

The pockets of the people traveling on Ahmedabad-Vadodra express highway are going to get loose, considering the fact that the toll tax fees on this route have increased by Rs 4 to Rs 63. Like every year the fees will become active from 1st July 2011.

The company responsible for collecting toll tax fees from the people traveling on this route is the Ahmedabad-Vadodra Expressway Company Ltd., which increases the toll tax fees by about 10 to 12 percent every year, and shells out a lot of money from the commuters. According to the Ahmedabad-Vadodra Expressway Company Ltd the fee hike this year will be nearly between 7 to 8 percent.

Till last year the fees on Ahmedabad-Vadodra Expressway for Car-Van-Jeep were Rs 38 up to Nadiad, Rs 51 up to Anand, and Rs 81 till Vadodra. Whereas the fees from 2011 for the same vehicle category will be Rs 42 up to Nadiad, Rs 56 up to Anand and Rs 89 till Vadodra.

The commuters who go to Vadodra from Ahmedabad (Ring road) toll plaza are also going to have a crunch because the fees on this route are also going to increase by Rs 1 to Rs 60. Similarly the people who travel via Vasad Toll Naka will also have to pay Rs 119 to Rs 889 on their monthly pass.
