Another day, another price hike:Adani Gas, GSPC raise CNG prices
Gandhinagar, 27 June, 2011

Every single day brings another news of price hike in another area. Today is no exception.

If due to rising prices of diesel and petrol, you have fallen in love with compressed natural gas (CNG), get ready to pay more for refueling your vehicle as Adani Gas prices of compressed natural gas (CNG) are revised from today from Rs 38 to 40.50 per Kg, while GSPC has raised CNG price by Rs 3.25 per Kg.

“We have increased CNG price by Rs 2.50 per kg from today. Now, CNG gas sold by Adani Gas will cost Rs 40.50 per kg, ” said Adani Gas official.

Official of Adani Gas further told DeshGujarat that this revision was unavoidable looking to the international regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) price scenario.

According to estimates, Gujarat consumes around 7 to 8 lakh kg of CNG per day. GSPC Gas, Adani Gas, Sabarmati Gas and Charotar Gas collectively sell around 5 lakh kg of CNG. They are wholly dependent on imported LNG to meet their requirements.

Gujarat is not getting cheaper gas from D6 field in Krishna-Godavari (KG) basin, and is entirely dependent on imported gas.
