Foreign boat found adrift off Porbandar coast

A saffron-red color close body boat was found today on the Porbandar coast of Gujarat.

Local villagers of Tukada Miyani spotted this boat first and informed the local police station.

Police staff of Bagwadar police station rushed to the sea shore and found nothing objectionable inside the boat. There was no human presence in the boat.

A brief writing ‘Yemen6’ was found on the boat, thanks to which the police believe that this boat could be from Yemen.

The police has informed Indian Coast Guard about the presence of this boat.

This is the third such incident in last 15 days, when a foreign boat has arrived at Gujarat coast. Earlier two incidents of Somali boat arriving at Gujarat coast were registered in Junagadh and Jamnagar districts.
