Somali pirates boat case: Yemen consul to visit Una

The pirates of Somalia and Yemen, who were caught on 19th June from the seacoast of Una district’s Nandan village, are in Junagadh Jail after being interrogated. To confirm the authenticity of the citizens of Yemen, the consuls from Yemen are going to come to Una. They are going to meet Police Officer Limbasiya and gain all the information regarding the 3 citizens of Yemen.

Interpreter Jitendra Maavadiya stated that when these pirates from Somalia and Yemen were caught, they maintained that they were not pirates but fishermen. But an FIR was filed against them for infiltrating the Indian water boundary. The progress in this case can be seen as the Indian government reported this incident to the Government of Yemen. In the mean time the Consuls from Yemen are going to come to Una along with their interpreters.
