Recently the government of Gujarat had ordered transfer of 34 IAS officers according to which Agriculture and Cooperative department’s Principal Secretary Rajiv Gupta was appointed as a new Municipal Commissioner of Vadodara Municipal Corporation. However today the government announced change in its decision and appointed him as Managing Director of Civil Supply Corporation.

In one more surprize the government has appointed Shri Ashwani Kumar, CEO of Tribal development department’s development support agency as new Municipal Commissioner of Vadodara Municipal Corporation.

Such corrections – after the transfer list is already issued – rarely happen. And therefore many babus in power corridor are surprised.
