Heavy rain in Ahmedabad on Monday evening

The city of Ahmedabad received heavy rain on Monday evening after 7.30 pm. Meanwhile the areas of Saurashtra and south Gujarat continued to receive good amount of rain on Monday too. Saurashtra’s second largest Shetrunji dam – important for the city of Bhavnagar witnessed increase of 8 ft rise in water level in a day due to good rain in its catchement areas. A road connecting Amreli with Dhari in Amreli district was closed for commuters due to water running over the highway speedily. There’s prediction of heavy rain in next 24 hours all over the state.
