Gujarat Congress is coming up with yet another movement. This one is named as ‘pol khol’ agitation against the Gujarat government.
Gujarat Congress President Shri Arjun Modhwadia in a meeting of district prabharis from all over the state announced party’s ‘pol khol’ agitation between 25 July and 1st August in the state. During this period, the party will organize dharna, rally, public meetings and protest programs. According to Modhwadia’s statement, this agitation will be against state government’s debt and its act to allot land to capitalists and industrialists.
Modhwadia asked prabharis to spend 10 days per month in the district/taluka/municipality under their purview. He also asked prabharis(in-charge) of the districts to form district level core committee and open party office where there’s need.
Modhwadia announced that Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s political secretary Ahmed Patel will preside the north Gujarat regional convention of the party on 25 July. “Party observers in north Gujarat should therefore ensure presence of large number of party workers in this convention.”
