Liquor permit in Gujarat only if you file Income tax return

If you want a new liquor permit in Gujarat, you will need to have an annual income of at least Rs. 3-5 lakh as per the decision taken by the government of Gujarat.

Those individuals wanting to have a permit to drink liquor in Gujarat need to have a clearance from the civil surgeon. The other existing rule is that a person should have minimum Rs. 4,000 income per month.

However according to a new decision taken by the government, a person wanting liquor permit now onwards must have earning of Rs. 3-5 lakh per year and must produce an Income tax return filing document along with the civil surgeon’s approval letter.
