While Godhra train accused are shifted from Ahmedabad jail to Vadodara jail, the state government on the other hand is doing nothing to shift Best bakery case accused lying in the jail in Maharashtra’s Kolhapur to Vadodara, former Gujarat BJP minister and coordinator of Deen dayal seva sangharsh samiti, Nalin Bhatt said in a press conference in Vadodara on Sunday.

Bhatt said the accused of Godhra train case of year 2002 are from minority community and Gujarat government has shifted them to Vadodara jail which is nearer to Godhra. But the government is not equally enthusiastic when it comes to shifting of Hindu accused of Best Bakery case who are languishing in Kolhapur jail.

Narrating the details of Gujarat government’s neglected attitude towards Best Bakery case accused of Vadodara, Bhatt said, when Best Bakery case accused urged transfer to Vadodara jail before the court in Kolhapur, they were asked to produce Gujarat government’s no objection certificate(NOC) allowing them transfer. Based on this decision, a file for obtaining NOC was sent to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s office, but that file is just eating dust there.

“Modi doesn’t sign the file of Best Bakery accused, but he enthusiastically signs the file of Godhra train accused. This is clear injustice to Hindus. This is the reality of the Chief Minister who talks like a champion of Hindus. The reality is that the BJP in Gujarat is speedily becoming another Congress. There’s no difference between two parties any more,” Bhatt added.
