And now Ford is coming to Sanand with car making plant

US carmaker Ford which has currently a manufacturing facility at Chennai, is likely to make an announcement on the setting up its second car manufacturing facility next to existing Tata Nano car plant in Sanand taluka of Gujarat over a 400 acres of land, says PTI report quoting official sources.

As per the report discussion in this regard is going on with the state government and the district collector of Ahmedabad district is in the proess of earmarking the land.

Ford has plan to launch eight new products by the middle of the decade for which capacity expansion is necessary.
