Teesta creates scene in Lunawada
Lunawada, 29 July, 2011

Controversial NGO operator Teesta Setalvad on Friday appeared before investigating police officer B.J.Ninama in Gujarat’s Lunawada. Teesta produced a stay order of Supreme Court on Pandarwada investigation. Teesta marched to DySP office with about three dozen Muslim supporters who were from Lunawada’s Muslim majority area Hussaini chowk. This created scene in the areas between Hussaini chowk and DySP office, and large number of people gathered to see it.
It should be mentioned that the Supreme Court bench of justices Aftab Alam and R M Lodha today stayed criminal proceedings against Teesta in a case of exhumation of about 28 unidentified bodies from Pandarwada and surrounding villages in Khanpur taluka from a graveyard near river Panam in Gujarat, and issued notice to the Gujarat government seeking its response to Setalvad’s plea for quashing the criminal proceedings against her.
