IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt suspended
Ahmedabad, 8 August, 2011
Finally the Gujarat government has done what it should do much earlier. Controversial and openly revolting anti-government IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt has been suspended from his job.
Bhatt is currently the Principal of SRP Training school at Junagadh. He was not on going to the place of duty for a long time and was openly challenging the government through one and other mean.
Recently in his leaked email it was found that he was in regular touch of anti-Chief Minister elements. He was asking the leader of the opposition Shaktisinh Gohil in one email that why he had not received blackberry phone and three packages yet?
The specific reasons cited against Mr. Bhatt was unauthorized absence of duty, non-appearance before a departmental panel and alleged misuse of official vehicle.
Bhatt is facing couple of serious criminal charges in court. Recently Gujarat’s additional advocate general has filed complaint against him for hacking of emails. Though not authorized, Bhatt used to keep yellow light over his car till the time one local newspaper exposed it.
