Gandhinagar, 12 August, 2011

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray concluded his 9-day long Gujarat tour to study state’s development initiatives. Thackeray termed his tour as eye-opener. He said he would like to come again to Gujarat after completing forthcoming Maharashtra elections. Thackeray said the people of Gujarat are fortunate enough to get a leader like Narendra Modi who thinks it is his state, it is his people and therefore it is his job to make them happy and make the state developed.

While meeting the media persons in Gandhinagar Thackeray wished he could be spared from difficult questions that might spark controversy. However few media persons didn’t spare him and continued asking him the questions about ‘par prantiys’. Raj said the best thing he liked in Gujarat are its roads. Raj also praised Gujarat’s position as power surplus state. Raj said if Maharashtrians in Gujarat speak good Gujarati, those Gujaratis settled in Maharashtra should speak Marathi.

Thackeray said he spend about two hours time with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday but didn’t discuss even a single line of politics.

Thackeray said the centre needs Narendra Modi as a leader and if I get enough strength to support that, I would do that. Thackeray added that Modi should first complete his works in Gujarat before going to centre.

Raj said Gujarat is good business model. The state works like a company runs in professional manner.
