Advani, Sushma enjoy iftar party at PM residence when Anna on fast

Ahmedabad, 25 August, 2011

When Anna Hazare was on 9th day of his indefinite fast, the Prime Minister hosted Iftar party at his residence in New Delhi. BJP leaders Yashwant Sinha, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Varun Gandhi stayed away from the “iftar” hosted by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

And who attended it?

BJP Leader of the house in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and Gujarat MP LK Advani.

Attacked heavily by BJP supporters and loyalists throughout the morning and the afternoon on Twitter, Sushma Swaraj put her Twitter account into protected mode at around 2.30 pm on Thursday. This means, no one can now onwards read her tweets without getting her approval. This is unprecedented for any public figure. Usually public figures and especially the elected politicians allow people to read their tweets through open account. Sushma first started blocking the people who raised concern over her attending Iftar party at PM’s house on Wednesday. But later put her account in protected form(image of which is presented above).
