Gujarat BJP MPs led by senior leader Shri LK Advani staged dharna in parliament campus raising slogans against Gujarat Governor with placards in hands.
Shri LK Advani speaking to reporters outside the parliament said, BJP MPs will meet the President of India on September 2 demanding Gujarat Governor Kamla Beniwal’s removal.
“We are going to meet the President on September 2. All established norms were ignored and bypassed by the Governor like consultation with the chief minister before the appointment or taking the advice of his Cabinet on the issue,” Shri Advani said.
In reply to another question, the senior BJP leader said, “It is a very serious matter and we condemn it. It is an attack on the federal structure of the country. It has never happened before.”
