How they transport cattle for illegal slaughter(Photo)

Ahmedabad, 2 November, 2011

Presented above in photo is a truck that was used by butchers for illegal cattle trafficking. This milk van was captured by Ahmedabad’s Odhav police on ring road today. As many as 19 piece of cattle were rescued from this milk van. This once again throws light on tactics used by butchers to transport bovine illegally. Police have arrested a driver of this truck.

Last week, a group of rioting Muslims burnt police jeep during operation of rescuing calves kept illegally in a ground of Juhapura area for slaughter.

Since then, police have increased pressure on bovine trafficking and slaughter activities.
