Why Gujarat is cloudy in winter today?

Ahmedabad, 28 November, 2011
It’s winter, but today the sky in Gujarat is cloudy and it feels like a monsoon day with cool breeze.
The reason is the Arabian Sea depression ’05A’ which has intensified into a deep depression earlier than expected and it could possibly give a crucial window ‘in time and space’ to execute one last spin to become tropical cyclone ‘Thane’
It would not be of any consequence for the western coast of India, though India Meteorological Department (IMD) has maintained the watch for a cyclone in the west-central Arabian Sea.
IMD has forecast heavy rainfall at one or two places over Lakshadweep until tomorrow morning. Fishermen have been advised not venture into the rough seas along the Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Lakshadweep coasts during this period.
