Uniform central verge, plantation, traffic circle designs now onwards in Amdavad

Amdavad Municipal Corporation will bring uniformity in design of central verge, traffic circles, plantation and traffic islands.

According to a new guideline, 18 meter(60 ft) road will have central verge width of 0.30 meter and small size shrub planter or single tree plantation protected by tree guard will be preferred.

Similarly, 80 ft road will have 0.45-0.60 meter central verge with single tree plantation and tree guard. 100 ft road will have 0.60-0.75 meter central verge with single big planter or channel link fencing/grill and shrub plantation. 120 and 132 ft roads will have o.75-1.00 and 1.00-1.50 meter central verge respectively and canopy tree plantation at 5 meter plus central verge shrub plantation with chain link fencing/grill is suggested. on 200 ft road, the central verge will be 1.50 meter wide with canopy tree plantation at 5 meter plus central verge shrub plantation with chain link fencing.

In case of traffic circles, a 60×120 ft and 80×120 ft cross roads will have 10 ft circle. 80×100 ft will have 12 ft circle. 100×100 and 80×132 cross roads will have 15 ft circle. 100×132 and 100×120 ft cross roads will have 18 ft circle, 120×120 ft and 100×132 ft cross roads will have 20 ft circle, 120×132 ft cross roads will have 22 ft circle, 100×150, 132×150, 100×120 and 132×200 ft cross roads will have 30 ft circle while 150×200 ft cross roads will have 33 ft circle.

Similarly central circle measurements are also announced by the AMC for uniform beautification of city.

Private partners will be roped in to beautify central verge and circles in exchange of limited advertising rights.
