CBI registers FIR in Ishrat encounter case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered an FIR in the Ishrat Jahan encounter case with the CBI’s Mumbai Special Crime Unit on Saturday. The case has been registered under IPC section 302(murder).

The CBI had earlier this week received the official complaint from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case.
