-Campaigning for Gram Panchayat polls ends. The election is on 29th of December in more than 10,000 gram panchayts across the state covering more than 1.75 crore voters.

-BJP state office bearers meeting decides that the party will build a strategy to protest UPA’s unconstitutional decision to provide 4.5% reservation to minority.

-Sanjiv Bhatt appears in Jamkhambhalia court in connection with 1990 murder case. Six co-accused facing murder charge with Bhatt demanded discharge from the case before court.

-Mount Abu is ice cool at minus 0.6 degree temperature. Gujarat too is cool cool.

-Gordhan Zadafia appears before Nanavati commission.After being quizzed, Zadafia said he neither gave his statement to save somebody or to frame anybody. Zadafia will be grilled on 13 January now.

-A truck containing cow beef partially burnt by the people at CTM cross roads in Amdavad in the morning.Two persons held. 6000 kg cow beef recovered. The truck was challenged by cow protector youths.

-Surat railway local crime branch arrest members of a thief gang active in AC coaches of trains on Amdavad-Mumbai route trains. They would pull out precious things from luggage when station is near and luggage is dumped near door of the coach.

-6-month old girl child found at Amdavad’s Ujala circle in deserted condition. She has been taken to Sola civil hospital.

-Gujarat minister Saurabh Patel once again says that the state govt would build 11 airports. This was announced earlier too, but there’s no progress on ground.

-Gujarat Congress President Arjun Modhwadia today visited a location near Piplaj in Ahmedbad where Sabarmati river front’s displaced people are shifted.

-Gujarat University will offer upto 20 internet connections to each affiliated college. A connection would cost Rs 1125 plus tax per month to a college. It will have 512 kbps speed.
