Metropolitan Magistrate hearing Zakia Jafri’s plea transferred

Metropolitan Magistrate B J Ganatra who hears the protest petition filed by Zakia Jafri against the Supreme Court appointed SIT’s closure report on 2002 Gujarat riots case, has been transferred as 4th Additional Senior Civil Judge and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Anand today as part of a routine exercise by the high court registrar.
Magistrate Ganatra’s transfer is part of transfers of 195 senior civil judges and 87 civil judges in 21 districts, ordered by Gujarat High Court in a routine shake up. A list of those transferred also includes ACJM of the CBI court in Ahmedabad A Y Dave hearing Tulsi Prajapati encounter case who will be replaced by ACJM Bhuj B G Joshi.
