A new 7 km route added to BRTS network in Ahmedabad

A new route of Bus Rapid Transit System(BRTS) Janmarg was opened today in Ahmedabad.
A new route connects Memko and Kalupur. With this the total network of BRTS is now 86 km, covering 127 bus stations and 10 routes. The new 7 stations added today to existing network are; GCS hospital, Arvind Mills, Ginning press, Ashok Mill, Naroda fruit market, Memko cross road and Municipal corporation’s north zone office.
Buses will be available on new route at every 8th minute in peak hours while in off peak hours buses will be available at every 10th minute. The service will be available between 6.00 am and 11.00 pm.
A new route will be used by approximately 5,000 passengers from Naroda, Saijpur-Bogha, Kubernagar, Memko and Amdupura areas.
In another development, a new route of BRTS has been started today between Naroda to Town hall via Kalupur.
