Gandhidham, 22 January 2014

In video: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi while addressing the Scheduled Caste morcha of Gujarat BJP today in Gandhinagar asked Dalit party men to get minimum 10,000 local Dalit followers on Twitter Facebook. He said, “you send good morning message and it will reach 10,000 followers of yours on social media.”

Highlights of Shri Modi’s address:

-Some people have illusion that BJP’s presence is limited to urban areas, but when you look at the list of those elected in Lok Sabha and assembly, you realize that BJP candidates are elected both in urban and rural areas.

-Another myth is that BJP has its support base only located in northern regions, but the fact is that Goa has BJP government, Karnataka and Maharashtra had BJP government and even in Orissa, BJP was once partner in government.

-Continuous victories of BJP in Gujarat in Lok Sabha and assembly show that the journey of development has continued, and people have put trust in BJP.

-In recently concluded elections of Rajasthan assembly, Congress has not won even a single seat reserved for tribal. In Chhattisgarh, BJP has won 9 out of total 10 seats reserved for Scheduled Casters. In Madhya Pradesh, BJP has won 28 out of 35 seats reserved for Scheduled castes. This fact has to be percolated to last person.

-Samarasta hostels are being set up to give opportunity to youths. BJP is for samrasta(equality).

-Other parties manage their fund. We have our governments in many states, but we want to go to people to get the fund.

Speaking on this occasion, Minister Ramanbhai Vora said, the government budget for Dalits in year 2002 was 252 crore, while in 2012-13 it was Rs. 2849 crore. In last 10 years, there has been 11 fold increase. Atal Bihari Vajpayee government gave us three amendments in constitution for Dalits.
