Ukai dam gets July rule level, susplus water being released

It is good news in a way that water level at Ukai dam crossed prescribed rule level of the month of July today. 70,000 cusec surplus water is being released as per the rules from the dam to downstream areas. Ukai dam witnessed jump of 25 ft in 72 hours following heavy rains in upstream area and water released from Hathnur dam. Two hydro power generation units are now made functional and power generation has resumed.
