Top ten Central Excise Tax contributors in Gujarat

The revenue collection of Central Excise, Ahmedabad Zone has fallen short by Rs. 4,168 crore in the current fiscal year till February as compared to the target of Rs. 17,050 crore. While the target for central excise was Rs. 10,110 crore, the department could collect Rs. 8,326 crore till February. The total central exhice revenue collection from top 10 central excise assesses comes to around Rs. 5,912 crore.
1. Essar Oil ltd: Rs. 4814 crore
2. Urmin Products PVT Ltd: Rs. 264 crore
3. Vishnu Packaging Unit-1: Rs. 213 crore
4. Tata Chemicals Ltd: Rs. 122 crore
5. Nirma Ltd, Kalatalav: Rs. 112 crore
6. Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd: Rs. 97 crore
7. Ultratech Cement Ltd, Kovaya: Rs. 93 crore
8. Vishnu Tobacco Product: Rs. 83 crore
9. Jaypee Gujarat Cement Ltd: Rs. 70 crore
10. Adani Gas Ltd: Rs. 44 crore
