Rs. 206 crore liquor destroyed by Gujarat Police in 5 years

In a written response to an unstarred question in the state assembly the Gujarat Government disclose the information that in last five years the Gujarat Police has destroyed Indian Made Foreign Liquor(IMFL), beer and country made liquor worth Rs.206.68 crore.
The state Government informed the house that the state police seized and destroyed total 2,32,98418 bottles of IMFL, 62,28450 bottles of beers and 428503 litters of country made liquor.
The state Government informed the house that total 211502 cases of country made liquor and 30063 cases of possessing IMLF liquor were registered in last two years.
Highest number of IMLF bottles were seized in the bordering district of Patan(9980435), Valsad(2345676), Navsari(1175919), Banaskantha(856665), Dahod(925177).
