Bill for e-payment of court fee passed in Gujarat Assembly

Gujarat Assembly today passed court fee amendment bill 2015 unopposed.
With passing of this bill, payment of court fee through e-payment will be possible. The existing mode of payment of court-fee which is payment through stamp will continue to exist.
As per the Gujarat Court Fee Act – 2004, all payable court fees are paid through stamp at present. The amendment passed today by Gujarat Assembly will create facility of e-payment through online payment gateway. Refund of court fee will also be made through electronic system.
