Gujarat HC lifts stay, Lakhota beautification project to resume

Gujarat High Court has rejected all three pleas against beautification of Lakhota lake in Jamnagar. Seven months ago, Gujarat High Court had given stay against the project in response fo public interest litigation filed by NGOs. According to the latest order by High Court, Jamnagar Municipal Corporation(JMC) will need to hand over Environment Impact Assessment Report to Court before restarting the development project. Jamnagar Municipal Corporation celebrated the order by bursting crackers at Lal Bungalow circle.
