Salary and perk of Councillors increased in 8 Municipal Corporations

Urban development department, Government of Gujarat has taken a decision to increase monthly salary of elected Councillors.
Municipal Corporations of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Bhavnagar and Gandhinagar are instructed to finalize the rules and publish them in gazette.
Honorary monthly salary: Rs. 3000
Per meeting perks: Rs. 250
Telephone bill: Rs. 750
Stationery: Rs. 500
