MCI approval to 450 medical seats in Gujarat

Health Minister Nitin Patel today said that Medical Council of India(MCI) has given renewal approval to 450 medical seats for admissions in MBBS course in year 2015-16. He said MCI has approved 150 seats each in medical colleges at Sola in Ahmedabad, Cancer society in Ahmedabad and PDU in Rajkot.
Patel said in last 10 years Gujarat has added 7 new medical colleges and added 1405 seats which is 92% increase. At present there are 2930 medical seats available in Gujarat.
He said MCI had recently held inspection for renewal in these medical colleges.
