Delhi Public School East Hirapur, Ahmedabad has rolled back the fee hike after a meeting with state Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama on Sunday at Circuit house in Ahmedabad. The fee hike will now be only 10% over last year’s fees which is a general formula prescribed by state government.
DPS had faced huge protest by parents on massive fee hike. The government later intervened and Education Minister himself held a meeting on Sunday in which he conveyed that each private school should keep in mind that education is not profitable business but it is an ethical service oriented activity. Godo reputed schools should create an atmosphere in which children can study and progress. This should be ethical duty of private school operators.
