Ahmedabad Fire department to have 82-meter high rescue platform

Fire and Emergency Department of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) has taken a decision to purchase 82 meter high hydraulic platform that will be able to reach upto 25th floor in case of fire or other emergency in order to rescue the people.
Fire department at present possesses 55 meter high hydraulic platform purchased in year 2011. It can reach upto 18th floor for rescue operation.
The next platform will be purchased from Mumbai based firm Brijbasi Fire Safety Private Limited. It will be delivered to AMC in one year period. Ahmedabad will be first Municipal Corporation in Gujarat to possess a hydraulic platform of this size.
Gujarat government has permitted construction of upto 75 meter high building. A decision to purchase new hydraulic platform has been taken in this connection.
