Congress MLA demolishes boundary wall of PPP model housing project

Hyperactive and aggressive MLA of Congress party, Indranil Rajyaguru was seen in new avtar today. He along with other Congress leaders in Rajkot city including Kalaria and Kashmira Nathwani rushed to Raiyadhar PPP(Public Private Partnership) project for affordable housing and demolished an under construction boundary wall of the project with hammers.
They challenged city administration and police to arrest them and refused to seek bail.
There was illegal slum on government land here. The Rajkot Municipal Corporation(RMC) removed the slums after court order, but decided to give slum dwellers free housing at the same place. The land was auctioned and under PPP model a builder firm Cube Construction was awarded the project of construction of flats here. Rajyaguru however wants housing units and not flats. Local Congress unit had given bandh call in this regard which had failed to get response. Today, Rajyaguru and team demolished an under construction boundary wall, claiming that it was not built properly as per the prescribed standards. Rajyaguru and others were detained by police.
