All major damaged highways in flood-hit Amreli to be made functional tomorrow

As many rural roads and state highways are washed away following very heavy rains and flood in Amreli district of Gujarat, the State Transport(ST) bus services were partially on halt.

In total 7 depot of GSRTC in Amreli district, total scheduled routes are 306, of which 270 routes have been made functional. Services on other routes will start functioning on Sunday according to district collector of Amreli Shri HR Suthar.

Road works

53 dumpers, 37 tractors and 35 JCB machines are active in road repair works in Amreli district.

Major damaged roads will be made functional by Sunday evening.

23 out of 26 roads under Road and Building(R&B) department, Amreli are functional.

Other three roads, Amreli-Chalala-Dhari have been made functional today evening.

Savarkundla-Randhola and Chalala-Bagasara roads have suffered major damages. They will be made functional by tomorrow evening.

26 of 45 roads under Road and Building(R&B) department(Panchayat) Amreli are functional.

Repairing of 9 roads will be completed by tomorrow afternoon.
