All water headworks to be made functional in Amreli by tomorrow afternoon

Following heavy rains and flood 16 head-works of water supply were non-functional in Amreli district of Gujarat, of which 8 have been made functional again while other 8 will be made functional by tomorrow afternoon. Due to lack of power supply, several village suffered unavailability of water supply. Such villages are supplied water through 22 generator sets. At present 90 villages are supplied water through 64 tankers. The main pipeline that supplies water to Chalala Municipality has suffered fault, repairing of which may complete by midnight today. 8 villages are supplied Diesel Generator sets and water supply has been resumed with help of these seats. Bagasara taluka has been provided additional 10 trucks while Amreli taluka has been provided 5 additional trucks for water supply.
