– Normally industry moves faster than government, but with Digital India’s it’s different. I have no hesitation in saying that government has moved faster.
– The young people of this country have outdone both industry and government.
– We at Reliance will invest over Rs 2,50,000 crore across the Digital India pillars. Firstly in terms of infrastructure, we are rolling out an all IT next generation wireless broadband infrastructure across all 29 states in India, and this will be among the best in the world.

– Thirdly, Jio is working with leading device manufacturers encouraging them to make in India smart phones and internet devises at an affordable price. We will give them an assured offtake to our retail system
– Fourthly, we are committed to make necessary investments and strongly partner with central and state govt in the areas of e-gov, digital education, digital health care, smart cities and rural digital services.
– Finally we are creating a Jio digital India startup fund and entrepreneurship hubs in key cities and towns to provide platform for young people who want to create digital businesses in future.
– I estimate that Reliance’s Digital India investments will create employment for over 5 lakh people.
