Amid the ongoing logjam in the parliament which was likely to wash out the whole monsoon session, fire-brand BJP leader and union minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti today claimed that Congress was unable to cope with the fact that it has lost its ’60 year old Jagir’ in Delhi with loosing the power at centre and that was why it was trying all out to hinder the proceedings of the house to scuttle the development programs initiated by the Narendra Modi government in past one year.
Talking to newsmen here Sadhvi Jyoti said, ‘ Congress party had in a sense had kept mortgaged the power since independence. Now that it has lost that Jagir (estate), its leadership feels peeved and frustrated. That is why the irritated lot was creating ruckus in the parliament in an attempted to derail the development process started a year ago with the beginning of Modi regime. The congress has seen that not only domestic investors are enthused again but the foreign players have also started coming in the past one year. They want to disrupt it at any cost.’
Questioning the style of protest of Congress, the minister said,’ look how they are opposing. They have raised issues and are not willing to discuss it on the floor of the house. ‘
Daring the main opposition party to participate in a parliamentary debate, Sadhvi Jyoti said the allegations of corruption made by congress were all figments without any reality. ‘When Sushma ji (Sushma Swaraj) is ready to reply, why don’t you (Congress) listen to it. If you have raised a point you should be ready to hear an answer.’ she said.
To a query the minister said that she always hailed the point to not to pay the parliament members when the house did not function.
