First of its kind International Fitness Convention to be held in Gujarat

Ahmedabad

The first international fitness convention of the country will be held in Ahmedabad city of Gujarat.

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Health Department of the government of Gujarat would be partners for the ATP International Fitness and Sports Convention 2015 in which world renowned fitness and physiotherapy professionals like Fabio Comana] Craig Ballantyne. Dr. Emily Splichal, Dr, Evan Oscar, Jonathan Ross, Shannon Fable and Ulrik Larsen along with many Indian faculties would participate. The three day event is slated to be held from December 11 to 13.

In the presence of Director SAI (Western Region) Mr. R K Naidu, Additional Director, Health Department, government of Gujarat, Mr. P V Dave and Additional Director General of Police Mr. A K Singh, the ATP fitness Director Dr. Alap Shah shared the details of the convention today.

He said that more than 180 sessions would be held during the convention.

ATP Fitness, a private venture, working in the field of the promotion of the fitness awareness along with scientific training for the fitness professional also announced the launch of Fit India Movement today.

    On the occasion another Director of the orgnaisation, Mr Dipesh Shah said that the Indian fitness and sports industry was growing rapidly and need great amount of skilled professionals, scientific approach, infrastructure, technology, services and equipments. The proposed convention was a major step to nurture knowledge driven fitness and sports education in the country.
