Kakrapar overflows, Narmada dam overflows for third time

Kakrapar dam in south Gujarat is now overflowing due to release of water from Ukai dam.
Ukai dam is receiving huge inflow of water for last few days due to release of water from Hathnur dam in neighboring state.
Kakrapar is overflowing by 4.5 ft measurement. This is for the first time in this season that Kakrapar is witnessing overflow.
In another development, Narmada dam is overflowing for third time. This is minor overflow at 1211.39 meter level above the peak level of 121.92 meter. This overflow has been witnessed due to release of 50,000 cu sev water from Indira sagar dam in neighboring Madhya Pradesh.
