Late evening rumors in Surat, internet ban continues

Gujarat government was all set to lift ban on mobile internet from midnight today, but it decided to extend the ban for one day due to fresh rumors spread in Surat.

Late in the evening on Sunday, rumor was in circulation in Surat that Sumul dairy will not function on Monday and the city will observe bandh.

City police commissioner had to counter this rumor through flash in local news channels.

In another development, sex video clip claiming Patidar anamat andolan head Hardik Patel in it were in circulation on Youtube and other social media platform. However a person in blue shirt featured with a Thai call girl in video clip was not actually Hardik but a lookalike. Such video clips were found repeatedly posted on Youtube, however one of the top watched one was seen crossing 8,000 views.
