Ahmedabad Crime Branch probing into 3 incidents of Patidar violence

Ahmedabad city police crime branch has been handed over probe into three incidents of violence during Patidar unrest. They include attack on Astha bungalows on Science city road allegedly by a group of police men, burning of a truck carrying vegetables and misuse of whats app to fuel the violence.

It has come to notice that on 25th night violence was triggered by misuse of WhatsApp messenger by circulating provocative messages. Crime Branch has filed Cyber crime offense in this regard. In another incident Astha bungalows were attacked allegedly by a group of police men after a mob torched Sola police chowky and SRP tent. In third incident, a truck carrying cement on Odhav ring road ws stopped by five persons in car and set on fire. In another incident a truck carrying potatoes was stopped at Ramol ring road. As the driver didn’t succumb, the truck was chased and stooped forcibly at Ramol char rasta. It was later burnt.
